LIVING LOUDER LIFE GROUPS

As a Vineyard church, we believe that everyone gets to “play”, i.e., participate in Kingdom activities. Outreach ministries at NHV are at least one area where this is especially true. Whether you’re young or not so young; timid or bold; new or old in your faith – there’s a place for you in one of our outreach ministries. These ministries aim to demonstrate the power and love of God through personal encounters with those outside our church body. We use tools that Jesus modeled – healing and words of knowledge to help proclaim God’s REAL love for people everywhere. Just reading through a few of our actual stories will help you appreciate how much fun it is to actually “play” in the game rather than watching it from the side lines.

Treasure Hunts

The Treasure Hunt outreach ministry is based on the premise that we are ALL God’s treasures. But sometimes the cares and burdens of this life have a way of “burying” us. So this ministry depends on God-provided “clues” to hidden “treasures” in our community. The amazing thing is that when we find a treasure according to the clues, then show the person our treasure map, they are often undone. They can hardly believe that God cares enough to send a total stranger to come find them. This experience then opens them to let us pray for any sickness they may have and/or prophesy God’s promises into their situation.

  • We meet in the seating area across from the in-store Starbucks, of Tom Thumb at Hwy 66 and Dalrock.
  • We spend a few minutes writing down word “clues” that come to mind.
  • We take a few more minutes figuring out where God wants the search to take place.
  • We go there and start looking for the people that God gave us clues for.
  • When we find them, we show them what led us to them and then ask if we can pray for them.

Treasure Hunting brings the good news of the kingdom through easy, supernatural means. Faith is built in both the hunters and the treasures, as each side gets to see how much God loves us and cares for us. Special Note: Kids of all ages are welcome to join their parents and participate in each facet of this fun ministry.

We start at 10 am and hunt until 12 noon. Anyone with time to stay can join the group for lunch. Treasure Hunts are generally the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.
